Club 1984 is a group of passionate supporters that are personal sponsors of the club. In AFL land, they would call us a Coterie group.

We donate money to the club and get some member benefits, but 70% of the memberships fee goes into a separate bank account at the club. These funds are used in consultation with the members to spend on things to benefit the club. In the past, funds have been used to help pay for speakers at events, help provide infrastructure to the club, like a large payment toward the electronic score board, training lights at the oval and a mobile scorers tower. Funds have also been used to help financially impacted players from injury and others from lower income families with cost of playing footy. We try to support and get some energy around all of our teams and make sure we are loud and proud showing the Spirit of Rupo.

Members congregate on game day, some help out with jobs on the day others just socialise. We will often stand together and share banter. Members are usually in their custom apparel and are easily identified.

Benefits include the new Thursday members draw that jackpots each week, custom apparel, member discounts at the bar and the canteen. Members also get access to the senior coach briefing, to get game day updates and the plan for the game.

If you want to make a difference and show your pride, this is the group for you.
