Founded in 1984 with a single Junior Under-16 team named Salesian the Rupertswood Football Club began as a small but passionate group of players. As the club's player base grew, so did its ambitions. Over the years, RUPO expanded its offerings to include Senior Football, Auskick, the Football Integration Development Association (FIDA), and Netball, becoming the Rupertswood Football & Netball Club (RUPO) as we are known today.

In 2021, RUPO embarked on an exciting new chapter, transitioning from the Riddell District Football League (RDFL) to the Essendon District Football League (EDFL). As a volunteer-driven organization, the club's growth and success are a testament to the dedication of our administration, coaching staff, players, families, and valued sponsors. We are committed to being a successful, diverse, and inclusive club within the EDFL's community-driven organization that everyone, from members to sponsors, can proudly stand behind.
