RUPO Celebrates a Fantastic Finish to the 2026 Season As the 2026 season draws to a close, Rupertswood Football & Netball Club can look back on another fantastic year, filled with plenty of highlights, memorable moments and achievements across our football, netball and FIDA programs.
There was a terrific finish to the senior football season, with both our Senior Men’s and Reserves teams recording impressive wins in their final games at RUPO. Playing in front of our home crowd, both sides finished the home season on a high and provided plenty for our members and supporters to celebrate.
Our Masters side also wrapped up their season, unfortunately going down to the top of the ladder team in their final game. Despite the result, the Masters can be extremely proud of their first season in the blue and yellow, finishing in a very respectable 8th place. We look forward to seeing them back on the track in 2027, refreshed and ready for another season.
Our FIDA team also enjoyed a solid 2026 campaign, finishing 3rd on the ladder with two wins. More importantly, the team continued to provide a fantastic environment for players to compete, develop and enjoy their football. Congratulations to everyone involved for another enjoyable season.
Junior Success
There were plenty of reasons to celebrate across our junior programs, with some outstanding performances throughout the season.
Our U11 Netball team unfortunately fell short in their Grand Final, going down after a fantastic season. While the result wasn’t what the players and coaches had hoped for, reaching a Grand Final is a tremendous achievement and a reflection of the commitment, hard work and determination shown throughout the year.
Congratulations also go to our U13 Netball team, who went all the way to claim the premiership. A fantastic achievement for the players, coaches and everyone who supported the team throughout the season.
Adding to the celebrations, our U16 Boys Football team also finished their season as Grand Final winners.
Two junior premierships are a fantastic reward for the effort and dedication shown throughout the year and highlight the strength of the football and netball programs at RUPO.
Another Great Year for RUPO
From our youngest players through to our senior, Masters and FIDA teams, 2026 has once again demonstrated what makes Rupertswood such a special club.
There have been wins and losses, Grand Finals, premierships, plenty of hard work and, most importantly, countless opportunities for our players to enjoy their sport, develop their skills and build friendships along the way.
A huge thank you goes to all of our players, coaches, team managers, volunteers, committee members, parents, families and supporters who have contributed to making 2026 another successful year for RUPO.
We would also like to acknowledge and thank our sponsors and supporters whose ongoing contribution helps the club continue to grow and provide opportunities for our members across all levels of the club.
As we now look towards 2027, we can be proud of what has been achieved this season and excited about what lies ahead.
Congratulations to everyone who played a part in making 2026 another great year at Rupertswood Football & Netball Club.
Go RUPO! 💙💛
