Brad was reunited with Rupertswood when appointed senior coach in 2024 for a term of 3 years. He had coached from under 12’s to under 15’s at Rupo previously and been an Auskick coach for 4 years as well.

Brad’s football pedigree goes back to being pick 12 in the 1988 AFL Draft and he played 17 senior games with Essendon, and 4 with Richmond. Later, he worked with the Brisbane Lions for 8 years including their 3-peat of Premierships 2001, 2002, 2003. Part of his role was opposition scout which involved reporting to senior coach and AFL Legend Leigh Matthews on the game style of the coming weekend’s opponents.

In total Brad has been involved as a coach for 26 seasons and has been involved as a player, coach or assistant in 13 Premierships from 16 Grand Finals. He is a strong communicator, and educator, and diligently prepares himself and the team for each match. He is always looking to learn something different to bring into the mix.

Brad is married to Monica and has son James in the senior football squad, and daughter Teagan is a strapper/trainer at the Club as well. As a family, they are all-in on Rupo…Who could forget the post-presentation night party that kicked-on at their home until the sun came up!
